Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 14.09.2026 Version: 2.0

These terms apply to our custom travel itinerary service. They don’t cover general use of the blog.

1. Who you’re contracting with

Around Europe Travel Blog [email protected]

Our full postal details are included in the booking confirmation we send you, together with the withdrawal instruction, before any payment is due.

2. What we do

We write custom, day-by-day travel itineraries for European destinations. You receive a PDF plan with a linked map, covering accommodation suggestions, places to eat, activities, and transport between them.

We plan. We don’t book. Every reservation is made by you.

3. How a booking works

You send the form. The form is an enquiry, not an order. Sending it doesn’t commit you to anything and doesn’t cost anything.

We reply. We’ll confirm we can do the trip well and which package fits, or tell you we can’t. If a destination isn’t one we know properly, we’ll say so at this point rather than take your money and find out later. For The Grand Tour, our reply includes a quote for your specific trip, which holds for 7 days.

You pay. The contract is formed when you complete payment through the link we send. Work starts after that.

We may decline an enquiry.

4. Prices and payment

PackagePriceLength
The Short Stay$189Up to 4 days, one city or area
The Family Week$349Up to 7 days, one country or region
The Grand TourQuoted per trip, from $54910 days and up

Prices are in US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

Founding families. While the offer is running, the first four bookings receive 25% off. We’ll ask for an honest review afterwards, but it isn’t a condition of the service and nothing changes if you’d rather not write one.

5. What each package includes

All packages

  • A day-by-day itinerary as a PDF
  • A linked map
  • Accommodation suggestions with reasoning
  • Places to eat and local recommendations
  • Activity and attraction suggestions

The Family Week and The Grand Tour also include

  • Transport between stops
  • Rest days built into the plan

The Grand Tour also includes

  • A call before we start
  • Full transport logistics across countries — trains, flights, cars, transfers

Revisions: one free revision with The Short Stay, two with The Family Week, three with The Grand Tour. Further revisions are $20 each.

6. Delivery

We deliver within 5–7 business days of payment. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Bavaria.

Delivery is by email. Nothing is posted.

If we haven’t delivered within 10 business days of payment and haven’t agreed a later date with you, you can cancel and we’ll refund you in full.

7. Revisions

Request revisions within 14 days of delivery. We’ll return the revised plan within 3–5 business days.

A revision covers: changing recommendations within the same destination, swapping activity or dining choices, and reworking the daily schedule.

A revision doesn’t cover: changing destination, adding cities that weren’t in your original request, or extending the trip by more than three days. Those are a new booking, and we’ll quote for them.

8. Your right to withdraw

If you’re a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from this contract without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is formed.

To withdraw, tell us clearly — email is fine. You don’t need to use a particular form. If you withdraw, we refund everything you’ve paid within 14 days, using the same payment method.

Starting before the 14 days are up. Because most people want their itinerary well before then, we ask you to confirm at checkout that we may begin immediately and that you understand your right to withdraw ends once the itinerary has been delivered in full. Without that confirmation we’ll wait out the 14 days before starting.

If you withdraw while we’re partway through, having asked us to begin, you owe a proportionate amount for the work already done. We’ll tell you what that is and refund the rest.

9. Cancellation and refunds outside the withdrawal right

Once the withdrawal right has ended, we don’t refund for:

  • changes to your own travel plans
  • venues that close, prices that change, or things that become unavailable after delivery
  • weather, strikes, political situations or anything else outside our control

If something in the plan is wrong or doesn’t work for you, tell us. That’s what the revisions are for, and we’d much rather fix it than have you sit on something you can’t use.

Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this section.

10. What the service doesn’t cover

  • Bookings or reservations of any kind
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa, passport or entry requirements
  • Support while you’re travelling
  • Anything binding about opening hours, prices or availability

Recommendations reflect what we knew when we wrote the plan. Check the details before you book.

11. Your part

  • Give us accurate information on the form. The plan is only as good as what you tell us.
  • Reply to clarifying questions within a reasonable time. If we can’t reach you, delivery takes longer.
  • Read the plan and raise revisions within 14 days.

12. Intellectual property

The itinerary stays ours. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own travel and to share it with the people travelling with you. Please don’t resell or republish it.

13. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

Where we breach an obligation essential to performing this contract, and do so through ordinary negligence, our liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable for a contract of this kind. Any other liability for ordinary negligence is excluded.

These limits do not apply to liability for injury to life, body or health, to liability under the Produkthaftungsgesetz, or where we have given a guarantee.

14. Data protection

We collect what we need to write your itinerary, and nothing more.

To run the service we use third parties who process data on our behalf — a form provider, an email provider, and Stripe for payment. They act on our instructions. Details of what’s collected, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have are in our privacy policy.

You can ask us to delete your data after the service is complete.

15. Complaints, law and jurisdiction

Email us first. Most things get sorted that way, and we’ll respond within two business days.

German law applies. If you’re a consumer resident in another country, this doesn’t remove the protection of any mandatory rules of your own country’s law.

We’re not obliged to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings and don’t do so.

16. Other

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

These terms, together with the confirmation email for your booking, are the whole agreement between us. The version in force when you paid is the one that governs your booking — if we update these terms, the change doesn’t apply to bookings already made.
